Option to EXCLUDE Volunteers when Extending the date range of a recurring shift

I create shifts per quarter. The shift description stays the same for the entire year. I'd like to be able to extend the date range to include more dates. Currently when I copy the shift, it also copies the current volunteer(s). I don't want the volunteers included when I extend the date range, I just want the the shift information.
