Currently, all online form submissions are linked to or create new individual constituents. When someone makes a payment on behalf of an organization (eg signing up to become an event sponsor) a user has to notice the payment and move it to the correct profile by either merging the constituents or deleting the transaction and re-entering it on the organization's profile.
Allowing donors to a payment online on behalf of an organization would result in less data cleanup.
I an't believe that this has 70 votes and it's still "Not Prioritized" by Bloomerang. The ability to change the name of a donor after a donation has been finalized is such a basic feature! How can someone make an online donation on behalf of an organization? And we all DO make mistakes sometimes. Requiring us to delete and re-enter the corrected donor information is ridiculous.
Yikes! Yes, please add this feature. My organization is constantly collecting online payments for business sponsorships for our events and I am not looking forward to having to redo transactions.
We get a lot of donations from organizations. I'm sad this isn't already a feature.
We do really need this during sponsorship season!
I've worked with a variety of CRM's for over 20 years and Bloomerang is the ONLY one that doesn't have this functionality. It's would reduce data managers needing to change records from individual to business, and allow NPO's to properly receipt donations. As it stands, online donations are improperly receipted for corporate gifts because the email makes it look like the contact person at the business was the donor.
Adding the need for this on membership forms as well.
YES!!!! This needs to get done!
