Indicate the fundraiser of a gift (eg major gift officers, board, fundraiser hosts) without using soft credits

Provide a way to clearly indicate the person who asked for a gift without using soft credits. This could help by keeping soft credit use cases separately, and enable future analysis features around solicitor performance.

examples:

  • Major gift officers

  • Board "get" fundraising

  • Peer-to-peer crowdfunding fundraiser hosts

I completely understand how this could be a useful feature for some folks, but rolling this out and making it the ONLY option for donations coming in through QGiv's Peer-to-Peer fundraising integration has put a serious wrench in our workflow. This is something that admins should have had the ability to select whether incoming donations are mapped to display fundraiser hosts as a Fundraiser or Soft Credit.

We are using a custom transaction field for this and have to review all gifts on records with solicitations to try to determine this. Would love something simpler!

You can add solicitor as a transaction custom field and track one or multiple solicitors.

This is our #1 request from our Board and CEO. Would be extremely helpful and save time.

This is also the #1 thing we miss from Raiser's Edge.

I do this with a custom field in both the gift record and the constituent record, however it would be helpful if we could indicate a constituent is a solicitor and relate the constituent record to the solicitor record and/or specific gift record.
