Create new pledges through an online form

Accepting online pledges is HUGE and I don't understand why this isn't a thing already. We have a LOT of people who won't donate a lump sum but will tell us how much they intend to donate... if the purpose of Bloomerang is to make fundraising easier, then WHY don't we have an online form for this?

I fully agree with the OP - we need an online form for pledge collection. Even if you don't want to go as far as allowing them to set up their own schedule, a simple form would do it.
- name and all the usual info
- Fund
- Campaign (if applicable)
- Appeal (if applicable)
- Total Amount Pledged
- Email address for emailed reminders

That's it. That's literally all we need from people.

On the backend this would create a pledge. We'd get an alert that pledges had been given and we can set up schedules for alerts to go via email as necessary. And BOOM. Our donors can pledge large amounts and not have to worry about a one time payment if they don't want to. That flexibility is key when you're hoping for large donations. More flexibility means more donations.

Wait.... this isn't an option on donation forms? How are we supposed to collect pledges?

We'd like for our donors to be able to submit their pledge through an online donation form.

We are ready for launch a pledge campaign and want to use it only, but there is no way to accept online pledges.
