We have a process for volunteers before they are officially allowed to serve-we want to track this IN Bloomerang! For example they have the application, background check, interview, orientation, and specialized training as needed. I have to create a spreadsheet to currently do this and it seems like such a HUGE gap for something that feels so simple

You can do this using our custom Tagging functionality. The system automatically tracks when tags are assigned or removed. For example, you might create a Tag Category called Onboarding Steps with individual tags for application, background check, interview, orientation, etc. As volunteers complete each step, you can assign the corresponding tag.
From there, you can filter your database by who has or doesn’t have certain tags. On an individual profile, you can also download their tag activity history to see exactly when each tag was assigned.
