Bulk create interactions without importing or using communications workflows

Did you send a newsletter outside Bloomerang and want to log the interaction on many constituents at once? This idea would explore ways to do that without exporting and importing files.

    We NEED this.

We run training classes and webinars. The process of adding a simple interaction to a large group of people who participate in a class or webinar is extraordinarily painful!

It requires first importing new Constituents. Then creating an export report of everyone who participated in order to get their Constituent ID number.

Then we have to create a bulk import spreadsheet template.

This is...forgive me...INSANELY STUPID and excruciating to do....especially when I have to do it almost weekly for a different class/webinar.

Let me generate a Constituent Report that builds a list of everyone who attended the class. Then under the Action menu add the option to "Create Bulk Interaction", similar to how you have "Create Bulk Task". Since you have the functionality for bulk tasks, you clearly already have 95% of the work done to make this happen.

It would be excellent if there were a way to bulk create an interaction (such as an event attendance) - could be one of the "actions" available with a Group - could create an interaction, task, or note. Would be SUPER helpful.

Would also work well when you have a donor meeting with several individuals, each with their own record. If this function was added, we could type up a single interaction on one record but then choose to automatically copy it into the timelines of multiple records rather than having to enter duplicate interactions on each individual's record. Raiser's Edge introduced this functionality recently and it was very impactful for the frontline fundraisers in documenting their donor meetings.

This would be lovely -- especially if it was a two-way sync between the email program and Bloomerang.

Right now with Mailchimp, for example, the only way we can add new Mailchimp users to Bloomerang is through Zapier. The same is true for updated information submitted via Mailchimp. For example, we created a birthday form in Mailchimp so we could wish our supporters a happy birthday on their day. We did the same with a phone number form, so we could text them certain updates. There's no way (outside of Zapier) for either of these pieces of information to automatically make their way back into Bloomerang without a two-way sync.
