Why is it useful- This feature would allow Event Managers to set up opportunities to only be accessible when an individual is signed up within the opportunity's organization and with specific qualifications.
Who would benefit from it- Event Managers as well as volunteers would benefit from this feature. Event Managers would have better control of the visibility of their opportunities and who has access to view and sign up for the shifts within them. Volunteers would also benefit from this feature as they would have better instruction and a more seamless onboarding process. There would be no confusion as to why shifts and opportunities are available to view but unable to actually sign up. They would have a better understanding that in order to have those qualifications to view and sign up for our opportunities, they need to complete the volunteer process (whatever that looks like for each organization). This would also ensure that volunteers don't see when and where shifts are taking place so they can't just show up to an opportunity without signing up and having the qualifications to do so.
How should it work- If potential volunteers get ahold of a public page link or a shift selection link that leads them to an opportunity within an organization, they should not be able to view the opportunity and the shifts within them unless they are signed up within the organization and have completed the organization's form questions. When Event Managers toggle "Show Members with or without Specific Organization Qualifications" in an opportunity's general settings, volunteers should not be able to view the opportunity even if the opportunity's shift previews are on for signups. Opportunities should only be viewable to volunteers in the organization and with the matching qualifications if needed.
