Log volunteer hours per month rather than per day

It would be helpful for volunteer hours to be logged in for an overall month, rather than individual days. My organization has a lot of different programs, several of which involve volunteers having differing schedules under their program coordinators. At least one program has a monthly minimum of hours required, so typically it is easier for them to collect hours for the entire month rather than keep track of individual days that volunteers schedule their time.
