Export multi-line addresses as separate columns for mailhouses

Export multi-line address blocks in a way that's easy for a mailhouse to handle. Maillhouses often ask their customers to split the addresses into multiple columns before sending a file to them.

This needs to get fixed ASAP. I've worked in several different CRMs and Bloomerang is the first and only to not allow for multiple lines of street address. Kinda basic.

YES. This has been a huge issue for us. I would also like to see a field like, "Organization Name" to make it easier to mail to organizations.

This has become a major issue when exporting lists to send to the mail house

No database, CRM, or fundraising platform I've ever used has exported multi-line addresses combined in one cell with a carriage return. Adds an unnecessary step for preparing mailings!

Every time I pull a mailing list I have to spend time editing it before moving to the USPS site to process a mailing. This is time-consuming even though our lists are usually only 400-500 households. I can't imagine the process for those who are mailing thousands of pieces at a time. This really needs to be improved.

This was extremely confusing to teach my volunteers how Bloomerang functions in regards to a "secondary address," which really means a second line within the address.

Yes! This throws our mail house whenever we have a job, and also screws up labels all the time

Yes please! My workaround in Excel is to use the Text to Columns feature.

I used to spend hours upon hours on this. I lucked out and figured out how to have Excel do a find/replace to merge multiple address lines and it's much quicker now, but not everyone has that knowledge readily available.

(By the way, folks, in Excel: Ctrl+f > Replace > Type "Ctrl+j" in the Find box (without quotes) > type a comma and space in the replace box > Hit Replace All)

Not having this feature adds hours of admin time when exporting addresses for our mailhouse, as they won't accept the export as it stands in Bloomerang. It can't be too hard to move to Address 1 and Address 2 fields?

Yes! My mail merge programs don't play well with the multiple lines, and so I sometimes have to manually go through and split them.
