Import soft credits from a spreadsheet
Create a single transaction and assign out soft credits for each individual donor listed in a spreadsheet.
Examples: United Way, Network for Good, Benevity, YourCause
Having a way to add soft credits with a batch of transactions would be amazing. We frequently utilize soft credits for United Way giving or various campaigns, and to manually enter each one is very time consuming. Currently I just add where it needs to go to the note so I can add the soft credit after for reporting. If this could hit higher on the priority list we'd be grateful!
This is a must to have - we are expanding our outreach with CSR programs and already have some support via this type of mechanism from outside companies. But now we have no way of appropriately documenting and tracking the soft credit donors, and it seems like a fundamental function of a DMS.. we really need this feature, there's no conceivable way our team could spend so much time manually adding scores of soft credits to a single transaction on a monthly basis.
We had this feature through Little Green Light before switching and it was a LIFE SAVER on staff time. Highly suggest Boomerang consider adding this feature as we have to now manually enter hundreds of soft credits that would take minutes if we could import. It's becoming more common for people to give through various giving platforms or through their workplace which requires soft credit.
So many giving platforms exist, and each one has a different format. If Bloomerang could automate this, it would save countless hours of individual entry.

This would help us, mostly with with GlobalGiving match funds.
Yes! We get a lot of gifts through these programs, and then there's giving days where the money filters through a foundation or donor advised funds that could have 100+ soft credits.
The problem is that Bloomerang is limited to only 25 soft credits per donation. I have opened a request for them to increase that cap.
I would LOVE this feature! It would also be beneficial when donor info is provided after cause marketing campaign disbursements. Often, we can't find the time to get all of the soft credits done!
