The timestamp feature makes it difficult to use this integration dynamically. For example, let’s say I want to send an email asking for donations next Saturday, and I want to exclude anyone who has donated in the last month. I can build the email now and schedule it in MailChimp for Saturday (so I don’t have to work on the weekend). I can also schedule a “push” of the most recent donor data from Bloomerang to MailChimp to happen on Saturday morning too, so that anyone who donates on Friday night is excluded from the email — but now I have a problem. The tag created on Saturday by this push will have some sort of time stamp on the end of it, like “082722 0745.” Because I can’t know exactly what that time stamp will be (and because that tag doesn’t exist yet), I can’t use it to segment and schedule my MailChimp email today. I’d have to sign on Saturday morning to do that manually. If the time stamp feature was removed, and the sync could update existing tags, I could take care of all of the scheduling in advance.
